Safely Dispose of Unused Medications
You can safely dispose of unused or expired medications year-round at these convenient locations:
- Quincy Police Department: 223 1st Ave SW, Quincy, WA 98848
- Quincy Community Health Center: 1450 1st Ave SW, Quincy, WA 98848
- Quincy Valley Medical Center: 908 10th Ave SW, Quincy, WA 98848
You can bring prescription medications, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and pet medications. Please note:
- Needles and sharps are not accepted: Place sharps in a sturdy plastic container (like a laundry detergent bottle). When it’s ¾ full, seal it tightly with duct tape, label it “Sharps – Do Not Recycle,” and dispose of it in your household trash.
- Inhalers and auto-injectors: Special handling required. Washington residents can request a free, pre-paid mail-back package for these items through the Safe Medicine Drop program. Visit safemedicinedrop.com/mail-back-request-washington-ext to request a package.
To learn more about items that are not accepted in your area, drop-off locations, visit medtakebackwashington.org or call 1-844-4-TAKE-BACK (TTY: 711).
